How we compare prop firms

Where the numbers come from

We take prices, profit targets, loss limits, profit splits and payout terms from the firm's own website, pricing page or help centre wherever the firm publishes them. Some firms only show prices inside their checkout; for those we use a recent independent review and replace it once we've confirmed the price ourselves. Each firm profile lists the exact pages we used and the date we last checked them.

How often we check

We re-check every firm at least weekly, and straight away when a firm announces a rule change. If a firm closes, stops paying or changes its terms in a way that hurts traders, we add a warning to its profile.

How tables are sorted

Tables sort by the column you choose, such as price or profit split. There is no hidden "score", and no firm can pay to be listed higher, to be featured, or to have its data changed.

How we standardise rules

  • Prices are list prices in US dollars. Firms that charge in euros or pounds are converted at a fixed rate.
  • Profit targets and loss limits are shown as a percentage of the starting balance, including for futures firms that quote dollar amounts.
  • Drawdown is labelled static, trailing at end of day, trailing intraday, or trailing until it locks at breakeven.
